LEICA Falcon, the horse once described as Makybe Diva's heir apparent, is on track for an emotional return to the racetrack next month.
While trainer Richard Freyer is understandably coy about making predictions regarding the horse's comeback, the camp remains cautiously optimistic the rising six-year-old can return from serious injury.
Leica Falcon, who has won five of his 10 starts and $456,525 in prizemoney, has not raced since his fast-finishing fourth to the Diva in the Melbourne Cup two years ago.
He was then the subject of an offer of more than $2 million, which was rejected by his owners.
