Bangalore, Nov 10 (IANS) Institute of Clinical Research India (ICRI), which imparts training in clinical research studies, has entered into a partnership with Singapore Health (SingHealth), the state-run healthcare institute, to improve hospital management system in India. The partnership also envisages training Indian clinicians for domain expertise in specialty areas such as liver transplant, stem transplant and renal transplants in Indian hospitals.
“The knowledge-building partnership is to scale up educational resources, foster talent to meet the growing needs of healthcare and put India on the global healthcare management map,” ICRI chairman S.R. Dugal told reporters here Monday.
Due to lack of professional healthcare management in public and private hospitals across the country, more deaths are caused by infections, medication delivery lapses and traumatic medical incidents.
“The need of the hour is to improve healthcare management in India by accelerating talent growth and creating a holistic system for medical tourism in the sub-continent,” SingHealth senior consultant and emergency physician V. Anantharaman said.
