The privately held company does not release financial information but some industry estimates put the CRO’s annual revenue at about $3 billion.
Charles Winker, a spokesman for the North Carolina Department of Commerce, said that he has not seen any filings from Quintiles under the Workers Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, or WARN, a federal law that requires a notice to be filed if the number of layoffs reach a certain threshold at a particular location. Bridges said that the cuts were made in Durham as well as other locations throughout the company’s global footprint.
